Isabelle Update
Isabelle is now 7 years and 10 months and 30 days old.
She is entering primary school and will be starting year 3. She is becoming a little lady and is starting to look after her “things” in her own room. She still loves craft and is still messy but is able to clean up much better.
She loves Jesus and thinks of many things to pray for. She says that she prays on her own for her friends. Today she told me she is praying for a girl she met in Fiji who lives in Victoria. As she has been hearing for the floods in Vic. I am thankful she is growing in her own faith.
Isabelle relates best to Mikaela, Why I ask? “Well because she is so kind and of course and well… she is similar to me. You know oldest girl and little BROTHERSSSSS”
She chooses her own fashion. At first the striped leggings and chequered tops seem to her match well. But now (thankfully) she is finding her way with fashion and I must say she is always beautiful in everything she wears.
She is trying hard in her studies and has so much support around her. I am blessed with Heidi (her tutor) who is so ever patient and sits with her every week. Not only to teach her in her studies, but to also take interest in her life. She attends CAL which is comprehension learning every morning at school and I am so blesses she has support staff who have seen the vast improvement from when she was in Kindy.
Sometimes she surprises Marty and I with breakfast in bed. Nothing better than a refreshing mango ice cube first thing in the morning!. We love her kindred spirit.
She has 3 missing teeth at the moment. Two at the top and one at the bottom. The tooth Fairy made it all the way to Fiji ….. and to popo (grandma) and Julies house when she had a sleep over!.
She keeps Marty and I on our toes when it comes to listening!. I think that the both of us should attend some kind of training classes to understand how to cope with the next “phase” of a girls life. Running to her room when she does not get her way is definately something we have addressed.
I am sure there is more but I can’t think of anything else for the moment.
By the way the countdown to the birthday is on … I am reminded everyday.
