Each and every moment

Marty turns 37 this year and days before his birthday I ask him how he feels about turning 37.

"Am I turning 37?, I thought I was turning 38? I am 37 now aren’t I” he says.

So in a way he hasn’t aged at all!

The kids and I were going to take him out to a local restaurant for his birthday. Belinda calls to ask whether she can come around to drop off a present . Since they had not had dinner yet they joined us for dinner.

Marty decided we go and have Ayam Bakar which is indonesian for grilled chicken at Kingsford. Not local at all!.

But that is where we ended up.

We ordered so much food. We ordered 7 chicken thighs and 3 other dishes and rice for all of us. It was a very nice meal indeed and we were very full !! Hang on, I didn;t mention the extra 2 chicken thighs we ordered later on.

We had the carrot cake that the kids and I made that day. It was delicious, it was so moist and tasty. In my opinion better than store bought.

The recipe will definitely be in my collection.

It was easy peasy to make and yummy yummy to eat.

The next birthday outing was with the cousins on my side on Saturday. Mum took us all to celebrate his birthday with a family dinner. We had chinese food at Kingsford.

My mother has a saying “take a photo, just for the memory” so here they are.
